Therapist Biography
Lynn Jolly M.I.C.H.T
After working in many different areas of the music business, and a  brief spell as cabin crew with an airline, I decided it was time to move in a new direction with regard to career and Right Livelihood. Right Livelihood is an important part of the path I decided to follow and live my life by. This path also taught me the importance of doing work with the welfare of others always in mind; and doing therapies  and stress management was a very natural progression for me.

The chosen direction was partly initiated when I began doing Yoga with Gerry Kielty in 1996, then going on to work for him at his Yoga, Chiropractic and Complementary health centre in Glasgow; this definitely pushed me further in the Holistic direction.

The major influence however, came through the effect of teachings I was blessed enough to receive from a beautiful spiritual teacher I worked very closely with for a number of years and, also from ongoing teachings which I had been reading for over 12 years. I found/find all of my answers through meditation.
I am blessed to now have yet another wonderful teacher; and for all of this I am truly, deeply and eternally grateful.

My initial training was in Nutrition with the Nutritional Healing Foundation and from there I went on to do Holistic Therapies at Cardonald College in Glasgow,  followed by a post graduate course in Stress Management.

I use my therapies on people from all walks of life, in many different locations, and for many different reasons. I have experience of working on a cancer ward at Paisleys Royal Alexandria, with full-time carers at Renfrewshire Carers and at a corporate level doing stress management in the workplace with beCogent in Erskine.

I currently work from a variety of natural therapy centres (Embody & Kilbarchan Chiropody), and I am registered with Synergy which involves a lot of work with the NHS, Glasgow City Council and more recently Strathclyde Police.

I also teach Holistic Therapies and Stress Management to 5th & 6th year pupils across three different Glasgow high schools and to a much wider age group at Cardonald College.

I have worked with clients of all ages for arthritis, panic attacks, nutrition, insomnia, OCD, ADHD, agoraphobia (fear of going out) and other phobias, crohns disease, fertility problems, overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), asthma, high/low blood pressure, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), bereavement, depression, bipolar, stress, anxiety, anger, weight problems, muscular aches and pains, headaches, migraine, sinus problems and much, much more.

I am fully qualified and insured in Advanced Massage, (taught by Elaine Liechti, director of the Glasgow School of Shiatsu). Aromatherapy, Holistic Facial, Hopi Ear Candling, Indian Head Massage, Nutrition, Reflexology Deep Abdominal/Colonic Massage,  Swedish Massage, Relaxation & Meditation and Stress Management.

In addition to the therapies I also use Bach Flower Remedies & Jan de Vries Flower Essence.

I am currently doing COSCA Counselling Skills

All my certificates are verified and accredited by the Vocational Training Charitable Trust. (VTCT)

I am a Member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists (MICHT) through the Federation of Holistic Therapists. The FHT is a regulatory body which seeks to establish and maintain high standards of treatment by holistic therapists to protect the public. All members are bound by a strict Code of Ethics which can be found at the FHT website www.fht.org.uk
I am also a member of the Stress Management Society.
